As one of the nation’s leading voices on artificial intelligence and workplace transformation, Deputy Secretary Sonderling has spoken at global events including South by Southwest (SXSW), Web Summit, Collision Conference, and the Global AI Forum, and has published widely on the benefits and challenges of using AI responsibly in the workplace. His insights bridge public policy, ethics, and innovation, exploring how AI can empower organizations while protecting workers and promoting equity. Before his current appointment, Sonderling was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as Commissioner and Vice-Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), where he helped shape national policy at the intersection of technology, employment, and law. A proud University of Florida alumnus, Sonderling earned his B.S. and J.D., both magna cum laude, before beginning a distinguished career at the intersection of law, technology, and workforce development.
